This year has been amazingly busy for Joel. From birth to his first year he went from sleeping all day to walking. This year he went from walking to learning to jump up and down with both feet leaving the ground at the same time. He also speaks in several word sentences. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes to figure out what he is saying. His latest conversation with me was at the mall. I had my strawberry shake, Joel his milk. I let him take a drink of my shake and told him "shake." He says to me, "Like shake. Shake good." We have put Joel through quite a bit this year. He had to move from his home and live in a camper for a few months. And then move into a home with less than great conditions for one so young who is supposed to be able to play on the floor. He did SO well through it all, and I think learned a few things along the way... For example.. that taking a hammer to a glass window will break it. He also became a big brother right before his second birthday, which was quite an undertaking for him.
